Medical emergency causes road fatality

On June 8, at 7:20 a.m., David Jordann of Killdeer suffered a medical emergency while driving on Hwy. 85, 12 miles west of Watford City.
Jordann was driving a Kenwoth 2006 tractor cab eastbound near mile marker 153. The vehicle suddenly went off the road before striking a traffic safety device and coming to a stop in the south ditch.
Jordann was found unconscious inside the vehicle and was given emergency aid. He was later transferred by ambulance to McKenzie Health, where he was pronounced dead.
It was determined that he had suffered a medical emergency which caused both the condition and the accident.
North Dakota Highway Patrol, North Dakota Game and Fish, McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, Arnegard Fire Department, Arnegard Quick Response Unit, and McKenzie County Ambulance all responded to the scene.
