County partners with TrainND for CDL training

McKenzie County has established a collaborative partnership with TrainND to support employees whose roles would benefit from obtaining a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). While this is not a formal contract, the program provides a structured opportunity for eligible employees to pursue CDL training in alignment with operational needs. Participation is limited to positions where a CDL adds value, with the broader goal of strengthening workforce capability and supporting long term employee retention.
TrainND, represented by Joe Campbell, the Williston campus’ Business and Program Development Manager, was joined by the county’s human resources director, Stephanie Raver, to present the idea of a program that would allow those in county employment to be trained and certified, and if passed, licensed for Class A CDLs.
