Local students compete at 2024 McKenzie County MATHCOUNTS Competition
Students from East Fairview, Johnson Corners Christian Academy and Watford City competed in MATHCOUNTS, the annual nationwide math program for junior high school students on February 7, according to Nikki Johnsrud, McKenzie County Superintendent of Schools, County and Region 4 Coordinator.
The MATHCOUNTS program aims to help improve student interest and ability in mathematics. They have targeted junior high students, who are at a crucial stage in sustaining and developing math skills and interest.
