Alexander Masterminds #44659 take 2nd place at FLL Regional Championship

For the first time, Alexander Public School had two teams compete in the First Lego League Regional Championships.
Both teams chose their names, with the first being The Alexander Blot Bots #44658, and the second being the Alexander Masterminds #44659.
First Lego League (FLL) Challenge division is for students from 4th-8th grade. The theme this year was Masterpiece and was about integrating the arts with technology. At competition, each of the following areas is worth 25 percent of their final score:  innovation project, robot design, core values, and robot performance.
The Bot Blots received the 2nd place Core Values Award, and fourth place overall.
The Masterminds received 1st place in robot performance, and second place overall.
The coaches, Drew Lebrun and Erica Turnquist were both very proud of the teams.
