Peewee B1 finish with 36-6 overall record

Bob Strom

After a very successful season, the Pee Wee B1 Oilers have a lot to be proud of. First and foremost being pushed up a level for the end of the year state tournament, which has never happened before. The team also recorded their first State A hockey tournament win in the history of the program.
Friday, March 3, the Oilers faced off against Fargo Freeze Blue A. This was their first matchup and Fargo came out on fire putting up 20 shots on goal in the first period, with one going in. The second period was not much different as Fargo had 19 shots on net with 2 going in. After the second period Fargo was up 3-0. Fargo scored again putting the higher seeded team up 4-0 in the third. The Oilers put in a power play goal as Easton Samuelson took a pass from Bradyn Strom, but this was the only goal for the Oilers. This was a very fast paced game as the Oilers were outshot 60-15 losing 1-6.
