Off to a great start

The Watford City varsity girls volleyball team upped its season record to a perfect 3-0 as the Wolves picked up decisive wins over Tioga and New Town this past week.
The Wolves also competed in their own invitational on Saturday where Watford City took sixth place.
This week, the Wolves will be on the road as they travel to Beulah on Thursday and then take on Ray at Wildrose on Tuesday.

Watford City 3, Tioga 0
McKayla Haugeberg had eight service aces and seven kills as the junior hitter led Watford City to a three- game sweep of the Tioga Pirates in Watford City’s first home game of the season.
The Wolves bested the Pirates 25-17 in the first game and then put together back-to-back wins of 25-20 and 25-9 to complete the sweep.

Watford City 3, New Town 0
Watford City had 31 service aces and 16 kills as the Wolves rolled over New Town in three games last Thursday evening.
The Wolves defeated the Eagles by scores of 25-12, 25-16 and 25-11 to take the win and improve their season record to 3-0.
McKayla Haugeberg led the Wolves with 12 service aces, while Brianna Allex had five kills and Tori Hopkins had 11 assists.

Watford City Tournament
The Watford City varsity took sixth place in the Gold Division of the Watford City Tournament on Saturday.
In pool action the Wolves defeated Powers Lake 2-0 and then split with Williston Trinity Christian and Richardton-Taylor.
In the tournament, Watford City fell to New England, 2-1, and defeated the Wolves JV team, 2-1, before falling to Bowman, 2-0.
