Gregory Rolla

Gregory Rolla, 64, of Mandan, N.D., formerly of Watford City, N.D., died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at his Mandan residence.
Gregory was born Feb. 13, 1952, in Watford City, the son of Garvey and Lottie (Frisinger) Rolla.
He was raised and educated in Watford City, graduating from Watford City High School in 1970. While in High School, Greg helped his dad farm and ranch and participated in high school wrestling.
Greg later entered the U.S. Army and served overseas in Germany during the Vietnam Conflict.
After his discharge, he came back to Watford City and continued to help his dad on the farm and ranch, along with working for Black Hills Trucking.  
Greg later attended a Water Technician School and moved to Mandan, N.D., where he worked for the City of Bismarck in their water department.  
After his retirement, Greg continued to live in Mandan until his death.
Greg enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, boating and especially his many dogs.
He is survived by one sister, Vici Kallevig of Fromberg, Mont.; two brothers, Mark (Deborah) Rolla and Steven (Darcie) Rolla, both of Watford City; along with several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. His memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at the Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home in Watford City. Rev. Mark Honstein officiated. Military Rites along with a lunch followed at the Funeral Home.
