The Wolves wrestlers, known for their unwavering determination, etched their names in Class A wrestling with a staggering eight members advancing to the state championship - a new record for the program.
Will Langford, the underdog at 133 pounds, ranked number 16, fought against the odds to not just qualify for state, but also upset the No. 8 seed. His journey, although not ending with a placement, was a testament to the unpredictable and thrilling nature of the sport.
In the midst of strategic pins and swift takedowns, Ethan Dennis, a senior at 145 pounds, showcased lightning speed and upset the No. 1-ranked wrestler in the semi-finals. His grit and prowess earned him a well-deserved 2nd place.
Brier Arnegard, a junior and the team captain, lived up to his No. 1 ranking for the 139 pound weight class, leading by example and battling fiercely to secure his 2nd place finish.
