Wolves continue to shine on the track
The Watford City varsity track teams competed in three meets this past week with the Wolves winning the boys and girls divisions at the Badlands Conference Meet in Bowman, the Watford City Invitational on Thursday and then competing at the New Salem Invitational on Saturday in Bismarck.
Wolves improve record to 13-0
Watford City High School’s baseball team extended its winning record to 13-0 and 7-0 in region play this past week as the Wolves swept Des Lacs-Burlington by scores of 9-0 and 2-1 before knocking off the Williston JV team 14-3 and 4-2.
Wolves win Sakakawea Country Classic track meet
Another week of cold, wet weather, with a snowstorm thrown in for good measure, has kept the Watford City varsity track teams mostly sidelined. But in the one meet, Hazen’s Sakakawea Country Classic, in which the Wolves were able to compete last Tuesday, both the varsity boys and girls teams ran away with first place finishes.
