Retail activity strong in North Dakota’s second quarter

North Dakota Tax Commissioner Brian Kroshus says the energy and ag sectors in Northwest North Dakota are playing a major role in the state’s increase in this year’s buying activity.
Kroshus tells the McKenzie County Farmer that taxable sales and purchases for April, May and June of 2023 were $6.9 billion, an increase of 17 percent over the same quarter a year ago.
