Wolves volleyball team enters tournament as No. 2 seed

With the 2014 regular season now over, the Watford City Wolves varsity girls volleyball team has its sights set on the District 15 Tournament. The Wolves, who are the No. 2 seed going into the tournament, will have an opening round bye before taking on the winner of the Parshall vs. White Shield game on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
The District 15 Tournament will be held on Nov. 3, 4 and 5 at the Northern Lights Community Center in New Town.
This past week, the Wolves dropped a non-district matchup on Friday against a very strong Beulah team.
Beulah 3, Watford City 0
Beulah proved that it was the better volleyball team on Friday as the Miners rolled over the Wolves in three games.
Beulah took the first game, 25-16, and then downed the Wolves, 25-14 and 25-22, to complete the three-game sweep.
Emily Segneri and Ricki Lindley had five kills each for the Wolves, while Katie Mogen and Kara Langerud had two service aces each in the loss.
Individual statistics for Watford City from the match were as follows:
Kills: Emily Segneri, 5; Ricki Lindley, 5; Katie Mogen, 4.
Assists: Tarynn Jacobson, 14; Alli Mogen, 3.
Digs: Lindley, 22; Addison Sundeen, 15, Bailee Garmann, 14.
Aces: K. Mogen, 2; Kara Langerud, 2.
