Wolves Girls Track Team qualify two relay teams for State Track

We had a great day in Dickinson last Friday May 2. Two relay teams and Paige Schuster in the 400m have all qualified for the state track meet being held at Bismarck Community Bowl on May 22-24. I am proud that our girls have been improving, getting better and faster times throughout the season.
Last Friday was a great day for the Watford City Wolves! Paige Schuster finally got her mark in the 400m dash with a time of 1:01.72. The 4x100 meter relay consisting of Arlene Salas, Madalyn Greenhaw, Darbie Moberg, and Salil Showmaker came from behind to place first and qualify with a time of 52.56. Then the 4x200 meter relay consisting of Lauren Melland, Arlene Salas, Darbie Moberg, and Paige Schuster came across at a time of 1:51.36.
Congratulations to all these girls. It was fun watching these girls work so hard to make it to state this year and seeing all their excitement when it finally happened.
Our meets this week were at home on Tuesday, May 6, and in Dickinson for a boys only meet on Saturday, May 10. We are then only left with the last chance meet and region meet the following week before we head to the state meet May 22-24 in Bismarck at the MDU Community Bowl.
The team placed 6th out of 16 teams.
