Watford City got off to a great start and never looked back last Tuesday night, as they beat the Blue Jays by 44 points. “We stayed consistent every quarter and we moved the ball well,” said Watford City head coach, Justin Hager. “We were making extra passes and really getting the defense into some long closeouts. The more we move the ball the better we are. Making one more pass and really playing team basketball got us off to a good start. I thought we limited them to one shot which in turn got us out in transition. Making nine 3’s helps for sure when we shoot it that well, but more importantly a lot of those 3s were assists from a teammate which is what we want.”

The Wolves shot 53 percent from the field and scored 44 points in the paint. They recorded 20 assists on their 31 made field goals. Dominic Latray led the Wolves with eight rebounds. Xavier McGorman and Trysten DeVries had four assists each, while McGorman also had four steals and a block.
