Welstad sweeps Women’s City Golf Tournament

It was pretty much a one-woman show at the Watford City Women’s Golf Tournament as Molly Welstad made it a clean show winning the scratch and handicap championship crowns  and walking away with the medalist honors as well.
Welstad bested a very small but hardy group of golfers who took on the Watford City Golf Course on a cold, windy and rainy day.
Welstad fired an opening round score of 39 to win medalist honors and then finished the 18-hole tournament with a scratch score of 80 and a handicap score of 68.
The top three place finishers in each flight follows.
Championship Flight: Molly Welstad, 1st, 68; Eleanore Feeney, 2nd, 74; Kelcee Wold, 3rd, 78.
First Flight: Peggy Wold, 1st, 81; Amy Lund, 2nd, 84; Lisa Thompson and Barb Samuelson, 3rd, 86.
