WC runners meet hot weather at Anderson/Stavn Invite

Due to inclement weather, the Anderson/Stavn Invite was held on Friday, Sept. 12, in Bismarck. The meet started at 4 p.m. when it was still very hot and humid.
The Varsity and JV races had a tough time in the conditions, but still managed to run well. The later races had some cooler conditions. We were glad though, that the meet was moved rather than cancelled.
Katie Olson ran well improving her time despite the hot, humid conditions. T-shirt winners from the invite included Dehico Bocanegra Tovar, Camryn Wagenecht, Aries Chapman and Brycen Wood.
“It is fun to having enough girls to have a Varsity and JV score team points. We recruited Jayden Suek on the boys team which will give us 5 guys in the varsity boys race to have a team score at our next meet which is the Becky Wells Invite at the Heart River Golf Course in Dickinson on Thursday Sept. 18,” said Coach Gumke.
