Last Thursday turned out to be great running weather at McDowell Dam in Bismarck. All of the Wolves 6th grade girls improved their best times of the year on their final meet of the season.
They were led by Camryn Wagenecht, who ran a time under 6 minutes for the first time this season to place 4th.
Aries Champman also ran well, finishing in the top 20 at 14th place. The 6th grade girls team earned a 3rd place team trophy for their efforts.
Tynlee Fahrman led the junior high girls, with a 22nd place finish. Tynlee along with Philly McCoy and Joscelynn Eye will continue their season on the varsity team at the state meet.
Addie Simons came a long way this season as a cross-country runner. “We are looking forward to what she will do in the next few years. We are very excited for the future of our girls cross country program. We have a good group of young runners that love to run,” Coach David Gumke said.
