Watford City renewed their rivalry with Shiloh Christian last Thursday night, and defeated the Skyhawks 49-33. After a memorable Senior Night presentation during the pregame festivities, the Wolves took the floor and started the game with a strong defensive effort.
“I think we are improving,” said Watford City head coach, Tom Dwyer. “We still have room for improvement but I was happy with our defense. I was happy with how we executed our game plan. We did a good job of making adjustments where we gave up too many offensive rebounds early on, but did better after we addressed it.
We still had too many offensive possessions where we didn’t move the ball enough, especially early on. But we adjusted and had some stretches where it was really good. We limited our turnovers so I was really happy with that aspect. We made some really good passes that I was really excited about.”
