Watford City 67,
Beulah 32

Watford City got their busy week started with a dominating Region win at home on Tuesday night. After Beulah began the game with a 5-2 lead, the Wolves took command with a 20-4 run to end the first quarter. Beulah would never get the lead back into single digits.

“I was pleased with our passing tonight,” said Watford City head coach, Tom Dwyer. “I thought we had a number of offensive possessions where we did a good job of moving the ball and making the extra pass to get a higher quality shot.” The Wolves recorded 22 assists on their 29 made field goals.

The defense also played well from the opening tipoff. The Wolves collected 26 steals and turned them into 28 points off of turnovers. “Regardless of the outcome, I am always trying to gauge how we played based on our effort and teamwork and the little things we have been focusing on,” said Coach Dwyer. “I thought we played with a lot of energy today. I mentioned being happy with the passing, but there is still a need for some improvement along with our rebounding. Overall, I was happy with how we played today.”

The Wolves shot 58 percent from the field and made five 3-pointers. Annabelle Bohn led Watford City with five assists, eight steals, and 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting.
