Jr. Oilers fall to Richland Rangers
The Watford City Oilers Jr. Gold lost their only game this week to the Richland Rangers 7-5 on Friday, Jan 27.
The Rangers started the scoring on the night about half way through the first period. The Oilers answered right back when Rhylan Olson picked up a loose puck behind the net and stuffed it in on a quick wrap-around goal while playing 4 on 4. The Oilers took the lead just over a minute later still playing 4 on 4 when a Ranger player made a bad pass to the point and Olson was able to pick it up and score on the breakaway. Kollin Klang scored the third goal of the period when he and Olson entered the zone on a 2 on 1 and put the pass through the goalie’s five hole.
