Gymnasts place at regionals

Five members of the Badlands Gymnastics team placed at the USA Gymnastics Region 4 Championships, which was held in Bettendorf, Iowa, in April.
“Going to regionals is a big deal. In school sports going to regionals means competing against athletes from a portion of North Dakota,” says Pat McWilliams, head coach. “In gymnastics going to regionals means competing against athletes from a portion of the United States.”
According to McWilliams, the local gymnasts competed against 1,336 gymnasts from well over a 100 gymnastics clubs from the seven states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Missouri, and Iowa.
