The Alexander Comets welcomed the third-ranked Ray Jays to Comet Court last Monday evening. The Ray Jays rode a consistent offense and opportunistic defense to build a 12-point first quarter lead. Alexander got the deficit back to single digits as Jacob Novak hit an incredible buzzer beater before halftime to make the score 30-23. Ray would create some space in the third quarter as they exploded for 29 points. The Comets struggled with foul trouble and Ray capitalized making 21-of-29 from the free throw line. In the win, Ray sophomore Blake Bergstrom scored a game-high 31 points and crossed the 1,000 career point milestone.
