Alexander Comets playing for a chance to advance to Region

The Alexander Comets boys varsity basketball team wrapped up its regular season play last week with a 43-35 win over Burke County before losing to Ray, 62-61.
The Comets advanced to the District 15 Boys Basketball Tournament, which began on Friday, Feb. 25, at the New Town 4 Bears Event Center. The Farmer will carry the Comets’ tournament action in next week’s issue.
