Michael Anderson, Sr.

Michael L. Anderson, Sr., 66, of Center, N.D., formerly of the rural Keene, N.D. area, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, N.D.
Michael Loren Anderson was born April 8, 1949, in Williston, N.D., the son of Arthur and Lola Anderson.
He was raised in Keene and educated in Watford City, graduating from Watford City High School. He attended mechanic school in Fargo, N.D.  
He later joined the U.S. Army in 1969, during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1971.  
After returning from the service, Michael started working for Rink Construction as a Roustabout for 14 years. He later worked for the Hess Corporation around the Keene area for many years until his retirement.
He was united in marriage to Robin Senff, in Keene, N.D., on Sept. 8, 1990, they lived in the Keene area for 22 years until moving to Center, N.D., where he has been a resident since.
Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on his little farm where he raised horses and a few head of cattle. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  When Michael was working he enjoyed running the backhoe, which was his pride and joy.
He is survived by his wife Robin of Center, ND, two sons, Michael Anderson, Jr. of Watford City, ND and Angelo Anderson of Center, ND, one step-son, Christopher Senff of Flasher,ND and one step-daughter, Crystal Freeman of Center, ND, seven grandsons and two granddaughters, his uncle, Curtis (Sharon) Anderson of Williston, ND and one Aunt, Loretta Anderson of Watford City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one uncle, Norman Anderson.

His funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at the Keene First Lutheran Church, north of Keene, N.D. Pastor Rob Favorite officiated and interment will be in the Silent City Cemetery, southeast of Keene, N.D.
