Gerald Neubauer

Gerald “Jerry” Neubauer, age 74, of Wellington, died on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, in Amarillo, Texas.
Memorial services were at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012, at the First Christian Church with Larry Haddock, minister, officiating. Private inurnment was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Jerry was born on Dec. 6, 1937, in Watford City, N.D., to Roman and Josephine Gilbertson Neubauer. He married Edalaine West on Aug. 20, 1960, in Watford City.
Jerry was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 4th Armored Division.
He attended Concordia College in Morehead, Minn. Jerry was a registered lab and x-ray technician. He was a hospital and nursing home administrator for 20 years, managed a carpet store for several years, was a property manager in College Station and Colorado Springs, Colo. He came to Wellington in 1998, where he was a master mechanic for the Texas Boll Weevil Eradication Program until he retired in February of this year. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Edalaine (West) Neubauer, of Wellington; a son Del (Billie Jo) Neubauer, of Flower Mound; a daughter, Kim (Kyrt) Goldston, of Tinnie, N.M.; a sister, Delores Quale, of Watford City, N.D.; six grandchildren, Jeremy and Delaney Neubauer, Sarahlyn, Sharli, Cheyenne and Shelby Cox and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Finley Camp.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the First Christian Church, the Wellington Cemetery Association, or your favorite charity in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 1300 East Avenue, Wellington, Texas 79095.
