Elverna C. Levang “Tuddy” (Maley) (Goodwin) was born in Williston, N.D. on Oct. 19, 1943, to Carmen W. Levang and Esther A. Dahl. She graduated from Watford City High School in 1961. She went to college in Minneapolis and worked her entire life as a Phlebotomist.
Tuddy, even after graduation, continued to keep in touch with her friends and family. Tuddy always looked for the good in people and once you were called friend, you were always called friend. 2-D was always concerned about her family and their needs. As sisters, we talked daily about our grandchildren and who had the grandest grandchildren. She had such deep roots in her heritage, and her love for her JESUS.
In 2008, she had a 5-way by-pass surgery, causing her to go into cardiac arrest. 2-D was revived, and counted each day as a gift from God. She tried to live her days to the fullest until she was stricken with a number of health issues, causing her retirement a year ago.
She passed away Friday afternoon, Oct. 15th, 2010, with her son and foster son by her side. Tuddy is survived by her son, Craig Maley (Dana) of Kent, Wash.; and daughter, Moya Warner (Robert) of Austin, Texas. She had three grandchildren, Madison Maley, and Jackson and Hudson Warner; and a sister, Rita Levang-Hovet (Kurt) of Watford City; nieces, Kimberly Murphy (Lee) and Vawnita Best (Pete); two great-nephews; aunt, Nyla Dahl; uncle, Gordon Levang; aunt, Grace Allex; and numerous cousins.
Friends may call at the Fulkerson Funeral Home of Watford City on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and an hour prior to services at the church.
