Elizondo Joe

Elizondo Albert Joe, “Zondo,” of Mandaree, N.D., passed away Monday, March 4, 2019, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Watford City, N.D. He was on his way from home from School with his siblings.
He was born on March 12, 2003, in Chinle, Ariz., to Beaufort Joe and Dzani Benally. He had attended Black Mesa Community School, Pinon Elementary School, Mandaree School then Watford City High School.
Zondo loved hanging out with his friends, playing video games and fishing with his family. Always in competition to out fish his brother; but was willing to let you take his pole when he caught a fish and you hadn’t, so you could reel one in.
He had a kind soul, loved to take care of his siblings and always wanted to take care of everyone. Zondo spoke so fast sometimes you had to ask him what he was saying, but he was always willing to slow it down and tell you. He was one of the main people to make you laugh or try to make you laugh when you’re down. Zondo teased us all the time and tried to get a reaction out of you. He genuinely wanted to be around you to sit and talk. He liked being around babies and kids smaller than him, always said hi or how ya doing, always shared his kindness upon everyone. Zondo loved being around his friends, playing basketball, video games and riding bikes.
Zondo is survived by his parents, Beaufort and Dzani; his sisters, Francesca Morgan, Yasmine Joe, Charismha Tsosie, Taliah Joe, Albertina Joe and Neveah Joe; his brothers, Clinton Tsosie and Johnathan Joe; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.
Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home of Watford City has been entrusted with arrangements.
His funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the Water Chief Hall in Mandaree, N.D.
An additional service for Elizondo will be held in Arizona. Family, Friends and others whose lives were touched by Elizondo are invited to attend services in Pinon, Ariz., at the Pinon Gospel Church on March 16, 2019, at 10 a.m.
