Diane Johnson

Diana “Kay” Johnson, 78, of Arnegard, N.D., passed away at Bethel Lutheran Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Williston on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 21, 2018.
Kay was born June 19, 1940, in Williston, N.D., the daughter of Kermit and Violet (Danielson) Goar.
Kay went through her education and achieved her Nursing Degree in Williston. She was a nurse for 40 years, working in Watford City, N.D., at the hospital and then the Good Shepherd Home. She enjoyed helping and taking care of the patients, residents, and their families. She loved nursing! Along with nursing, she loved animals and nature of all kinds. She especially loved horses, whether it was watching, taking care of them, or riding. She was more of an outside type of person, with her time spent with her animals or taking care of her plants and flowers.
Kay loved to travel, especially to Hawaii! She enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it was traveling, shopping, or sitting around drinking coffee.
She was a very good-hearted person and tried to help anyone when she could.
Kay is survived by her children, Steve (Traci) Burr, Debbie Burr, Brenda (Wade) Larmer, and Bruce (Sheri) Burr; her grandchildren, Ryan (Shae) Larmer, Cole Larmer, Bailey (Dillon) Burr, Bradey Burr, Alex (Marr) Burr, and Adam Burr, her sisters, Janet Williams, Nyla Dahl, Linda Ydstie, Susie (Mick) Moberg, Judy (Ed) Lodwig; special nieces and nephews, Gail (Clark) Hagen, Barb (Ken) Roark, Kathy Williams, Karen Ellenbecker, Nevin (Laura) Dahl, Nathan Dahl, Karen (Derek) Rowcliffe, Suzanne (Darin) Buchholz, Jason (Laura) Ditsworth; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. She even had one great-great-great nephew!
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Violet; brother-in-laws, Doug Williams, Neil Dahl, and Arlyn Ydstie; and nephew, Kurt Williams.
A private family service to celebrate Kay’s life was held at the Everson Coughlin Funeral Home. Rev. Ross Reinhiller will officiated and interment followed in the Riverview Cemetery in Williston.
