Week of rain brings relief to parched ground

While all of McKenzie County and most of North Dakota are still under extreme drought conditions, the recent rains have put a little spring in the step of area farmers and ranchers.
“Since last Wednesday (May 19) we’ve had 2.4 inches of rain, including .90 that fell on Wednesday, the 26th,” states Clayton Monsen, who farms with his son, Ryan, south of Arnegard.
