Unmanned aircraft systems provides limitless possibilities

The energy at Watford City’s Rough Rider Center was high last week as more than a 1,000 students in grades K-12 from McKenzie County Public School District No.1 gathered for a special visit from Vantis. It’s North Dakota’s first statewide ecosystem supporting unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) beyond-visual-line-of-sight network.
“The fact that a drone can scan a whole room and make a 3D model of it, I thought that was pretty interesting,” says Daniel Scott, Watford City High School junior, of Vantis’ drone demonstration.
