A calm, comfortable time with people you love. One that is absent of frustrations and chaos and filled with good food and drinks. Sounds nice, doesn’t it?
It’s what Hygge (pronounced as “hoo-gah”) is all about. So grab something cute and cozy to wear as the Pioneer Museum of McKenzie County presents ‘A Celebration of Hygge’ at the Long X Visitors Center in Watford City on Saturday, Feb. 12, starting at 11 a.m.
“In the busy world we live in, it’s nice to take some time for yourself and enjoy the small things. This is a day where you can,” says Jan Dodge, director of the Pioneer Museum.
While an afternoon stripped of chaos or anything emotionally overwhelming would probably be tempting for just about anyone, Dodge says that’s been the ongoing theme of celebrating Hygge for six years now.
