Multiple injured in oil rig incident north of Watford City

Several people were injured in a workover rig incident at Continental Resources OW Durham 6‑2H1 well site on 36th Street NW, approximately four miles north of Watford City.
The McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office said emergency crews were dispatched to the site at about 11:44 a.m. Three individuals were reportedly injured, though their conditions were not immediately available.
Officials said there was no active fire, but the workover rig reportedly tipped over. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
Responding agencies included the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, McKenzie County Rural Fire Department, and McKenzie County Ambulance.
