Montoya back in court
The McKenzie County Farmer continues to follow a story we’ve been covering since April.
As the Farmer was going to press on Monday, September 25, a change of plea hearing was being held in the case of Julian Montoya.
Montoya was charged with negligent homicide of a child victim in May 2023 following the death of a six-year-old boy who was fatally struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Watford City on April 8, 2023.
During his preliminary hearing held at the McKenzie County Courthouse on May 11, Montoya pleaded not guilty.
Details of Montoya’s change of plea will be reported in the October 4 edition of the McKenzie County Farmer.
