McKenzie County Ag Expo ready for annual county fair

County officials involved in the planning process of the Ag Expo toured facilities around the country so they could be sure to create the best facility for the unique needs and goals of McKenzie County.
Christopher Kubal, Ag Expo director, explained to The Farmer that while the original completion date was set for the fall of this year, he pushed his crew to finish in time for the 2023 fair.
“As of this time last year, we were still supposed to be having the fair in 2023 at the old fairgrounds,” explained Kubal. “I came in September, and talked to FCI and said, ‘Guys, the fairs here, get her done.’ And yeah, they’re three months ahead of schedule and we’re two weeks ahead of where we needed to be to get the fair pulled off.”
