Behind the flashing lights and sirens of McKenzie County’s emergency services are individuals who consistently put their lives on the line to keep the community safe. On Saturday, February 28, the local business community will step forward to ensure those sacrifices do not go unnoticed at the annual First Responders Appreciation Supper. The private event, held at the McKenzie County Ag Expo, is designed to be a dedicated night of relaxation and peer recognition for the men and women of local fire departments, EMS, dispatch, and law enforcement.

The event is organized by a volunteer board of local business leaders who believe that supporting first responders is foundational to a thriving community. Hosted by Lund Oil, TTK Enterprises, Bakken Supply, Arriba Productions, Continental Resources, and S & K Stack Testing, the initiative has quickly grown into a cherished local tradition. “The inspiration came from a shared belief that the people who show up for our community in its hardest moments deserve to be recognized in a meaningful way,” said Jessica Hollenbeck of Lund Oil. “First responders often work behind the scenes, and this event is about giving them a night that is truly for them.”
