Election candidacy deadline looms

The deadline to file for candidates to seek political offices is approaching with a 4 p.m. deadline on April 6.
A few more names have appeared for this latest update with many incumbents still silent as to whether or not they’ll seek to remain in office and the listings available on the secretary of state website reflect that as well.
State’s Attorney
Aaron Weber, currently the Chief Assistant State’s Attorney, has filed to seek election to take the top attorney job.
Currently, this race is uncontested.
