Cops emerge victorious in “Cops vs. Wolves” Fundraiser, netting over $2K for local scholarships

Watford City High School gym was nothing but squeaking sneakers and roaring bleachers last week, and for the first time in recent memory, the local law enforcement roster walked off the court with more than just pride in their good deeds; they walked off with a win. The annual “Cops vs. Wolves” basketball game, a cornerstone fundraiser for the SRO Leadership Scholarship, saw a record-breaking atmosphere as student-athletes from both winter and spring sports tested their mettle against the area’s finest.


The “Cops vs. Wolves” game is far from a new addition to the school calendar. According to Student Council leader Kamri Hodges, the event has become a multi-generational bridge for the community. “Many of the parents of children now participating in this event remember when they were in high school playing for Cops vs. Wolves,” Hodges noted.
