Convicted McKenzie County sex offender enters guilty plea

On Nov. 24, 2025, documents were filed with the Northwest Judicial District Court stating that 20 year-old, Kenneth Warren, of Watford City, with his Defense Attorney, Markus Powell, reached an agreement with the McKenzie County States Attorney on the 2025 felony cases against Mr. Warren.
According to the Notice of Waiver of Plea Hearing and Plea - Warren pleaded guilty to the Class C Felony charges of Luring Minors by Computer (Count 1) and Possession of Certain Materials Prohibited (Count 6) from his February 2025 arrest.
Warren was sentenced to serve five years imprisonment through the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, along with a requirement to register as a sexual offender for Count 1. He was also sentenced to serve a consecutive sentence of five years imprisonment for Count 6. Upon release Warren will be subject to 10 years supervised probation.
Warren also pleaded guilty to all nine Class C Felony charges of Possession of Certain Materials Prohibited from July 2025. He was sentenced to five years imprisonment on Count 1, to be served immediately, consecutively to the February case. On counts 2-9, he was sentenced to five years imprisonment, with five years suspended for three years to be served concurrently with Count 1.
