City looking to meet its future needs
By Neal A. Shipman
While the vast majority of Watford City residents don’t give much thought as to where the city builds its roads or water and sewer lines or when those pieces of critical infrastructure need to be repaired or replaced, for city officials planning for that work is critical.
Which is why the city has been working with several consulting firms to develop a plan for the next 20 years.
“We’ve been working on our 2040 plan since November,” states Grace Demars, city engineer. “We’re looking at what the city’s transportation needs are going to be, as well as our sanitary and water needs.”
