Wolves fall to Stanley at home

The Stanley Blue Jays visited the Rough Rider Center on Monday night and went back home with a 62-30 victory.
The first quarter was the best quarter for both teams’ offense in what turned out to be a defensive slugfest. “Their defense was probably the best that we have seen this season,” said Watford City head coach, David Gumke. “Their height and length made it difficult for us. They also overplayed our wings making it difficult to start our offense. We did not do a good job executing our back door offense to take advantage of their over playing of our wings. We did have some back door looks, but didn’t finish. We did not shoot the ball well, which can be attributed to their defense. I think that we rushed our shots, trying to get it off before they closed out with their length.”
