Wolves boys advance to Region Golf Tourney

Watford City’s boys varsity golf team wrapped up its regular season action this past week competing at the Washburn Invitational on Saturday and the NW Conference Meet on Monday in Mohall.
The Wolves will be competing on Friday at the Region Tournament in Mohall.
Washburn Invitational
May 9th

Nick Liebel and Chris Larsen shot rounds of 80 and 83, respectively at the Washburn Invitational to help lead the Wolves to a third place finish. Liebel finished in third place individually, while Larsen finished in eighth place.
Hazen won the meet with a score of 329 followed by Washburn with a 335 and Watford City with a 341.
Rounding out the scoring for Watford City was Seth Dougherty, 86; Jesse Weber, 92; Skyler Rogness, 94; and Ryan Monsen, 104.
NW Conference Meet
May 11

Nick Liebel and Seth Dougherty qualified individually for the State Golf Tournament during the NW Conference Meet with Liebel firing a 70, while Dougherty carded a 75.
The Wolves finished in fifth place with a team score of 319.
Stanley won the meet with a score of 290 followed by MLS with a 306. Lewis & Clark-Berthold finished in third place with a score of 315 and New Town-Parshall was fourth with a score of 316.
Rounding out the scores for Watford City was Chris Larsen, 85, while Skyler Rogness, Ryan Monsen and Jesse Weber each carded scores of 89.
