Watford girls win Bowman Cross Country Meet

Kade Ross and Asha Smith finished in first and second place to propel the Watford City girls cross country team to a first place finish at the Bowman Cross Country Meet last Thursday.
Ross blistered the course in a time of 17 minutes, while Smith finished just one second behind her to lead the field of runners from six schools.
In the boys division, the Watford City boys team took third place with Guy Ross finishing in seventh place individually with a time of 19.29.
Other Watford City girls placing in the meet were Addison Sundeen, 5th, 17.51; Lea Arndt, 8th, 17.55; Bessie Schmitz, 11th, 18.09; and Tara Loomer, 12th, 18.23.
Also placing for Watford City in the boys division was Logan Gumke, 12th, 20.29; Dustin Kleppen, 13th, 20.48; and John Meuchel, 14th, 21.04.
