Watford City 49, Williston 33
Williston came ready to play and gave Watford City all they could handle through the first three quarters of this rivalry matchup. The Wolves put the game away with a 19-5 fourth quarter.
“Williston has a good team,” said Watford City Head Coach, Tom Dwyer. “They’ve done a good job of improving over the last few years and have some players that understand the game well. They competed well and had good intensity. They did a good job defensively and contested every shot. They moved the ball well on offense.”
Watford City’s defense led them to victory once again. They scored 18 points off of Williston’s 18 turnovers and they held the Coyotes to a field goal percentage of 26 percent. The Wolves offense finished 37 percent from the field and 64 percent from the free throw line.
“We had zero turnovers in the fourth quarter so that was big,” said Dwyer.
