Even though none of the members of Watford City’s boys and girls track teams qualified for state in their first outdoor meet on Friday, April 8, the coaches were happy with the results at the Dickinson Coca-Cola Invite.
“We were close to qualifying the 400 and 800 meter relays,” stated Dave Gumke, boys head coach. “And Rylee Boomer missed qualifying in the long jump by four inches.”
The boys 400 meter relay team took fifth with a time of 45.59, while the 800 meter relay team took third with a time of 1:36.92.
