The Watford City Wolves played their second game of the season last Tuesday, and lost to the visiting Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers. The Lakers got off to a fast start with seven players scoring in the first quarter. While the scoreboard showed a big early deficit, Watford City head coach David Gumke appreciated the effort, “We came out with a ton more energy against DL-B compared to the Hazen game which helped our team defense be much better. That type of defensive intensity would have made our opener against Hazen be a different ball game. We have to continue that effort and not take any plays off during our games.”
