Spikers sweep Trenton, Trinity Christian

Watford City’s volleyball team improved its dual record to 7-2 and 15-7 overall this past week as the Wolves posted wins over Trinity Christian and Trenton before competing in the Beach Tournament on Saturday.
This week, the Wolves, will host Divide County on Thursday and then travel to Dickinson Trinity on Monday.

Watford City got off to a slow start against Trinity Christian last Tuesday as the Wolves defeated the Crusaders 25-19 in the first game before dropping the second game 25-23.
But the Wolves righted themselves offensively in the next two games blowing by the Crusaders 25-11 and 25-17 to win the match.
Karson Pederson had four service aces for the Wolves while Charlie Hystad had 13 kills and Marti Quale had 35 assists.

The Wolves made short work of  Trenton last Thursday as the Wolves swept the Tigers by scores of 25-14, 25-11 and 25-12.
Dani Bates led the Wolves with seven service aces and nine kills while McKayla Haugeberg had eight digs.

Beach Tournament
Watford City competed in four pool games at the Beach Tournament  where the Wolves fell to Beach 20-7 and 20-16 before defeating Scranton 20-9 and 20-16. The Wolves then split with Killdeer and Richardton/Taylor. Against Killdeer, the Wolves lost the first game 20-12 and won the second game 20-17. Against Richardton/Taylor, the Wolves won the first game 20-12 and lost the second game 20-15.
