Crosby spoiled Kalden Heggen’s shutout bid at 14:04 of the second period on a long shot beating Heggen on the glove side.
Grotte would add to the Oilers’ lead at 13:29 of the third period beating Knudson on a low shot. Douglas Rolfson assisted on the play. Douglas Nordby closed out the Oilers scoring at 10:30 pounding home a loose puck to build the Oilers lead to 4-1. Grotte and Chris Larsen added assists.
