Jamestown beats Watford City Wolves

Watford City welcomed Jamestown to town last Friday and lost to the defending state champions, 46-6. The teams played even, competitive football for the first half, but Jamestown’s depth proved to the difference as they pulled away late for their third win in four games.
“Our team played physical,” said Wolves head coach, Justin Johnsrud. “And we matched the intensity of the Blue Jays. They bought in to what we focused on all week and the results really showed during that first half. I liked how we responded mentally as well. We gave up the first score, but then responded and drove down the field. Unfortunately, a turnover stalled that drive. But we stayed in the game mentally and drove the ball down the field again to score.”
