Alexander Football wins first home game against Tioga
The Alexander Comets won their home opener on Friday night, as they defeated the Tioga Pirates 25-6.
It was a balanced and consistent effort by the Comets. They scored in each quarter and gained 358 yards (227 rushing and 131 passing). Beau Rider accounted for most of Alexander’s yards from scrimmage. He completed 8-of-14 passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed 19 times for 150 yards. Jordan Hernandez had another strong game with 10 carries, 50 yards and a TD. Ryan Pingle also had a touchdown with his four carries for 27 yards. Keaton Wehrman caught two passes for 70 yards. Ethan Thomas had 39 receiving yards, including a 21-yard TD. Max Heen added a 15-yard TD reception.
