Ronald Wagner

Ronald Wagner, age 73, of Devine, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio surrounded by family after a valiant battle with cancer.
Ron had a passion for his country and community. He made friends wherever he went. He served as Board President and shop manager at Devine Hospice Thrift Store. He was very proud of the volunteers (his friends) and the positive impact they have locally in Devine and the community abroad.
Ron enjoyed spending summers at his place up north where he loved fishing, playing cards, gardening, yard work and taking road trips to visit the grandkids. He had a calm, cool spirit that kept the peace wherever chaos ensued. His positive attitude and sense of humor kept all inspired to do their best.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Wagner; his mother, Wilhelmina Rittal Wagner; father, Art Wagner; sisters, Alyce, Violet, Lucille, June; and brothers, Warren, Alvin, Melvin (Bud).
He is survived by daughters, Dallas Henderson and husband Terry of Billings, Mont., Rhonda Kuehn and fiancé Jason Rieker of Maricopa, Ariz., Royal Robertson and husband Ron of Billings, Mont., Suzanne Brown and husband Brandon of El Reno, Okla.; son, Robert Wagner of Great Falls, Mont.; sister, Joyce Shumway of Miles City, Mont.; brothers, Donnie Wagner and wife Sandi, LaVern Wagner and wife Evelyn, Wolf Point, Mont.; 10 grandchildren, Kayla, Amanda, Samantha, Cassandra, Seth, Ari, Cameron, Anthony, Billy and Shelby; and great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Sawyer; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine, Texas. Interment will take place at a later date in the Alexander Cemetery in Alexander, N.D.
