Myron Brown

Myron Brown, 72, of Dickinson, N.D., passed away Monday, August 13, 2018, at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, N.D.
Myron William Brown was born February 2, 1946, to George and Clara (Sivertson) Brown in Watford City, N.D. He lived on the family farm and attended Sandstone School.
Myron married Rogene (Jeannie) Uran at New Town, N.D., on September 16, 1966. To this union 3 children were born. They lived at New Town, Williston, and Killdeer, N.D.; Denver, Colo.; Sidney, Culbertson, Glendive, and Plentywood, Mont.; before they made their home in Dickinson, N.D.
Myron was a hardworking man as he worked for KBM, RA Prathers and A&L Workover Rigs, drilling rigs, a cardboard factory making boxes, drove semi, owned M&R Trucking and after he retired he went to work for Northwest Tire.
He enjoyed riding saddle broncs, woodworking, traveling and camping in the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming, yard work and gardening. He loved being around children, and they seemed to enjoy spending time with him in return. He accepted people as they were and spent many hours keeping track of his family and friends. He was a man of courage, integrity, and honor. Myron never had any fear, as his injuries he occurred showed how he loved life and lived it to the fullest. He filled his niche and accomplished his tasks, a man who left the world better than he found it, never lacked the appreciation of earth’s beauty or failed to express it, and always gave the best he had. His greatest pride were his grandchildren and great granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Rogene (Jeannie) Brown, Dickinson, N.D; Children, Steven, Williston, N.D. Kevin (Cathy) Brown, West Fargo, N.D., Sheila (Chad) Brown Stoll, West Fargo, N.D.; Foster child, Misty Uran; Grandchildren, Alan and Austin Cassezza, Logan, Haylee, and Dylan Brown; and Great Granddaughter, Paisley Hagen; Sisters, Carole Berwald, Watford City, N.D., Loretta Akovenko, White Fish, Mont., Betty Terry, Grandin, N.D.; Brothers, Calvin (Sharon), Watford City, N.D., Burton (Lorna), Keene, N.D., Marlin (Pasty), Keene, N.D., and Gerald, Keene, N.D.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Grandparents; Brothers, Vernon, Arnold and Duane Brown; Sister-in-law, Olive Brown; Brother-in-laws, George Akovenko, Arvid Terry.
His funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug, 17, 2018, at First Lutheran Church in Watford City. Pastor Mark Honstein officiated. Burial was held in the Silent City Cemetery, rural Keene, N.D. Lunch followed at the Keene Dome. A family service open to the public was held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at the Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home in Watford City.
